A Day in the Life of Bright Light Entrepreneurs
Location: Irosin, Sorsogon
February 27, 2026
4:00 AM — The town is still quiet, but the lights at Bright Light Lane are already on. The aroma of frying dough fills the small kitchen as our young entrepreneurs begin their day. Carefully, they shape, fry, and glaze the first batches of donuts, preparing them for resellers and local customers. Every donut is handled with care — a testament to their dedication and pride in their craft.
By 8:00 AM, boxes of freshly made donuts are packed and loaded onto motorcycles for delivery. The streets of Irosin come alive as our entrepreneurs make their rounds, greeting familiar faces and ensuring that each order reaches its destination on time. These early deliveries are more than just logistics; they are moments of relationship-building, customer care, and real business practice.

On days when events arise, the team also prepares pizzas under Rollin Dough for catering at 401K Resort. These occasions require careful planning and multitasking — balancing dough, toppings, and timing the oven perfectly. While catering isn’t a daily routine, it teaches the entrepreneurs valuable skills in organization, teamwork, and meeting high customer expectations.

By afternoon, the team sets up at the Hapi Street Bazaar. Their stall is a hub of energy, filled with smiling customers eager to buy donuts and treats. Each interaction is more than a transaction — it’s an opportunity to practice salesmanship, problem-solving, and confidence-building in a real-world environment.

As the evening winds down around 10 or 11 PM, our entrepreneurs finally pause. After hours of nonstop work, they reflect on the day’s efforts. Every donut sold, every pizza delivered, every smile earned is a step toward building sustainable livelihoods. Their dedication is not just about work — it’s about ownership, independence, and the pride of creating something of their own.
