The Challenge in Buenavista
In Barangay Buenavista, Irosin, families face limited livelihood opportunities. Many young people lack access to vocational training, safe spaces for growth, and infrastructure that supports their development. These gaps weaken community resilience and restrict opportunities for inclusive progress.
Our Response: The Porch Entrepreneur Program
To address these challenges, we launched The Porch Entrepreneur Program—a bold initiative that transforms skills into livelihoods. Through mobile food businesses like donut carts, pizza and pastry trucks, and mobile cafés, scholars and local entrepreneurs gain hands-on experience in running enterprises that generate real income.
Why It Matters
This initiative is Bright Lane Light’s third arm of impact work, focused on building infrastructure that sustains dignity and opportunity. By equipping young people with tools to succeed, we align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 9: Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure—promoting inclusive, community-driven economic growth.
