From Skills to Entrepreneurship: The Porch Project in Action
Location: Irosin, Sorsogon
February 4, 2026
Now that The Porch Project is slowly taking shape, our youth scholars are putting into practice the skills they gained from various trainings. While the journey isn’t easy, these young entrepreneurs are learning, experimenting, and thriving—turning their culinary talents into real business opportunities.
What started as training in baking and basic business skills has grown into pop-up sales, event catering, and personal orders. Through street bazaars and local events, scholars have been testing the waters of entrepreneurship—learning how to run a business, serve customers, and consistently deliver quality food, all while building confidence and independence.
Hapi Street Bazaar & 401k Resort: Learning on the Go
Our first pop-ups were at the Hapi Street Bazaar in Irosin, where the youth managed stalls, interacted with customers, and sold their freshly made donuts. They also took on catering orders for 401k Resort, providing treats for events and gatherings. These experiences not only honed their skills but also gave them a real taste of entrepreneurship.

A Milestone: Our First Reseller – Mori Café
Exciting news! The Porch Project has secured its first reseller partnership with Mori Café & Kitchen, the first Japandi-style café in Irosin. Now, the community can enjoy The Porch Donuts at Mori Café while supporting youth-led entrepreneurship.
This collaboration is a stepping stone for our scholars to learn wholesale operations, manage product distribution, and scale their small enterprise. It’s a proud moment, but just the beginning!

Join Us: Be a Reseller or Support the Cause
The Porch Project will not stop here. We’re actively seeking new resellers—cafés, bakeshops, stores, hotels, resorts, or any special events where our youth products can bring joy. Every partnership helps expand opportunities for our scholars, fund more culinary scholarships, and bring The Porch Project closer to having additional mobile food trucks and food carts.

You can also support us by donating through Go Get Funding. Your contribution helps us:
- Add more scholars
- Fund more mobile food trucks and tricycles
- Create more platforms for young entrepreneurs to grow
Together, we can turn skills into livelihoods and dreams into reality. Join us in building a brighter future for the youth of Barangay Buenavista and beyond.
