Growing with Grit: The Entrepreneur SLP Program in Action
Location: Irosin, Sorsogon
February 13, 2026
When we first started The Porch Project, the goal was simple: to create ways for the community to turn their potential into real business opportunities. After featuring our first reseller, Mori Café, and sharing our bulk package initiative, we’re excited to share the next chapter — our entrepreneurs who are already taking charge of their own business journeys.
In early 2026, Bright Light Lane Inc. launched the Entrepreneur Service-Level Partnership (SLP) Program — a system that puts aspiring business owners in control of operations, accountability, and revenue while giving them the tools, guidance, and support they need to get started.
At the heart of it, The Porch — the third arm of Bright Light Lane’s impact strategy — is more than just a building in progress. Though construction continues slowly, the vision is already clear. It is designed to become a learning hub, a livelihood center, and a welcoming community space for returning scholars, aspiring entrepreneurs, and local families. A place where ideas are tested, skills are applied, and real income is earned — all within a framework of guidance, mentorship, and shared support.
Entrepreneurship in Motion: Meet Our First Batch
Our first batch of Entrepreneur-Partners has moved past the training stage. They are already running real, daily operations — managing sales, inventory, customers, and financial reporting. The program is built on trust and empowerment: each entrepreneur controls their own unit while following basic performance standards and key operational guidelines.
Here’s what makes this different from typical livelihood programs:
- Ownership Mindset: Partners handle day-to-day operations and make on-the-ground decisions.
- Access to Assets: Equipment and initial working capital are provided so teams can start right away.
- Structured Support: From onboarding to quality checks and reporting, we provide guidance — not handouts.
- Learning by Doing: Things aren’t perfect yet, but every week brings new lessons and improvements.
These entrepreneurs are figuring it out as they go — and honestly, they’re teaching us too on how to make the program better as it grows.

Not Perfect — But Progressing
Like any startup, the first phase is about finding rhythm, learning, and getting stronger as you go. Inventory tracking and operations are slowly coming together, and the teams are starting to get the hang of reporting. Leadership is naturally emerging within the clusters, and quality checks are becoming part of their daily routine instead of just a checklist. Every challenge, mistake, and small win is a step forward — proof that growth takes time, effort, and grit. This is what building with the community looks like: messy, intentional, and full of lessons that will make both the entrepreneurs and the program stronger.
Join Us: Be a Reseller or Support the Cause
The Porch Project will not stop here. We’re actively seeking new resellers—cafés, bakeshops, stores, hotels, resorts, or any special events where our youth products can bring joy. Every partnership helps expand opportunities for our scholars, fund more culinary scholarships, and bring The Porch Project closer to having additional mobile food trucks and food carts.

You can also support us by donating through Go Get Funding. Your contribution helps us:
- Add more scholars
- Fund more mobile food trucks and tricycles
- Create more platforms for young entrepreneurs to grow
Together, we can turn skills into livelihoods and dreams into reality. Join us in building a brighter future for the youth of Barangay Buenavista and beyond.
