Launching The Porch Food carts: Rolling Opportunities Forward

Location: Irosin, Sorsogon

March 20, 2026

We have been building quietly, and now it is finally out in the open.

Two Porch food carts are now fully operational, simple in form but deeply rooted in purpose. These mobile setups go beyond selling pastries—they open doors to accessible, small-scale livelihood opportunities within the community.

The first unit has officially launched at Hapi Street, currently operated by local entrepreneurs. Seeing it open, active, and serving customers is a quiet but meaningful milestone. It represents more than just a food cart. It reflects access, opportunity, and a starting point for those ready to build something of their own.

A Model for Accessible Livelihood:

Under Bright Light Lane Inc., The Porch initiative was built with intention to create practical, low-barrier livelihood opportunities that are mobile and scalable. Each cart is designed for everyday use—manageable, adaptable, and ready to support growth, creativity, and ownership.

While two carts may seem small, they mark the beginning of a system meant to expand and evolve.

Plans are already in motion to bring The Porch Food carts beyond Irosin, reaching nearby areas such as Bulan, Bulusan, Juban, and surrounding communities. The carts will also roll into local festivals and events, bringing joy, energy, and more customers to the entrepreneurs while giving everyone a taste of what The Porch has to offer.

The vision is not only to deploy carts but to build a network of community entrepreneurs, individuals who can operate, sustain, and eventually grow within a shared ecosystem of support.

This first launch proves that the model is not only possible but already working in real conditions.

This is only the start. More carts, more locations, and more stories are on the way.
